The February 2 episode of MBC’s Ju Byung Jin’s Talk Show invited K-POP stars including Super Junior’s Shindong, Kara’s Kang Jiyoung, T-ara’s Ji Yeon, Rainbow’s Jae Gyung and ZE:A’s Siwan to talk about these ‘idol’ stars’ individual lives and difficulties.
On the show, Ji Yeon got off her chest about how she has suffered from malicious online comments from her debut up to now.
At first, Ji Yeon started talking with a calm voice, but ended up bathed in tears by saying, “I’ve actually been under a lot of stress. You know we debuted at an age too early to endure such malicious rumors and vicious comments.”
Kara’s Kang Jiyoung tried to comfort Ji Yeon, and Shindong empathized with her by saying, “I fully understand what she has to have gone through. Female stars are more vulnerable to such malicious rumors in Korea.”
After taking some time to calm herself, Ji Yeon said, “I’ve intentionally been avoiding any connection to the Internet world. However, I know just avoiding is not a cure. I’ll pluck up my courage to confront the reality.”
